Veterinary Technician
Melisa is a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) at our clinic, dedicated to the well-being of our animal patients. Her journey in veterinary care began on a farm with Tennessee Walkers, creating a strong bond with animals. After moving to Gig Harbor, her passion for animal care continued to grow.
Melisa's decision to become an LVT stems from her lifelong love for animals, finding purpose in improving their lives daily. She attended PIMA medical school, graduating in 2012 and passing the Veterinary Technician National Examination (VTNE) before graduating, showcasing her commitment.
In the clinic, Melisa specializes in dentistry and advocates for preventative care and weight management for pets. Her passion for caring for animal patients is evident in her daily work.
In her personal life, Melisa is happily married with two beloved pets, Finnagein and Charlie. Beyond work, she dedicates her free time to expanding her knowledge and aims to earn her Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) certification. Melisa enjoys scary movies, dance parties with her dogs, and has a keen interest in exploring new places through travel.
